Services Related to Indoor Fungi and Moisture
Fungi are ubiquitous in outdoor and indoor environments. When excess moisture accumulates in building materials from pipe breaks or intrusion through the building envelope, fungal growth may occur. Many building materials, such as sheetrock, provide an ideal environment for fungus to grow. Addressing moisture issues as soon as possible after they appear is critical in minimizing fungal growth on building materials and potential health consequences to occupants, especially those with allergies or asthma.
At the Institute for Environmental Assessment, Inc. (IEA), we offer diagnostic and remediation services related to indoor mold and fungus. We provide a quick response to evaluate the extent of moisture and fungal growth resulting from water events. We also undertake management of remedial work, and follow-up and testing to resolve issues.
