Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
The Institute for Environmental Assessment, Inc. (IEA) provides Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) services. Such assessments are the first step to identifying recognized environmental conditions and contamination liabilities with a property. The assessment includes the site as well as any structures. Our Phase I ESA meets ASTM Standard E1527-05 and All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) requirements.
IEA’s services
Our consultants provide these services to banking institutions, schools, hospitals and commercial property owners and managers. A Phase 1 site assessment is an important way to ensure that there are no hidden defects or environmental hazards on a property. These assessments are required for many property transactions. If the process discovers recognized environmental conditions, such as hidden storage tanks, water intrusion or wetlands and drainage concerns, our firm can develop plans to manage the risk, limit the liability and protect the safety of persons on the property.
